The world premiere of Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! is scheduled to take place at the Japan Expo in Paris, France, on July 6.

The film’s director Kunihiko Yuyama, Rica Matsumoto (voice actress of Ash Ketchum) and Pikachu will join the event at Yuzu stage.

Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! follows the ups and downs of 10-year old Ash Ketchum, known in Japan as Satoshi, and Pikachu during their journey to fulfill Ash’s dream to become a Pokémon Master. On their travels the two characters encounter the legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh, sending them on an unexpected adventure.

Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! is the 20th Pokémon feature movie and will later be released in Japan on July 15.

Those wanting to attend the premiere can get tickets at the signing desk, which is scheduled to take place on the same day as the screening. Further information can be obtained from the Japan Expo website.

Japan Expo is said to be the biggest Japanese culture and entertainment festival in Europe. The event is held for four days from July 6 to 9 at Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center. (jes)
