Biggest news this week after Pokemon GO Festival in Chicago has been appearance of Legendary Pokemon Lugia and Articuno.

PoGo Festival in Chicago, left many who attended without a proper connection for hours, this caused outcry. Due to all the issue that plagued the fest bonus that were unlocked during the fest were extended.

But while the dust settles and fans are apply for their refunds, a new update came out and may have added a few scary glitches.

There have been reports of a new bug  which transforms the likes of Lugia and Articuno into fully fledged nightmare versions of themselves, complete with bendy extremities and distorted faces.

Twitter was flooded with the pictures of this glitch and some of the pictures that first surfaced this week on Twitter, which were quickly compared to other scary video-game encounters.

New elastic-look isn’t the biggest problem  though, but the fact that, glitch also mean players will loos out on catching the Lugia and Articunos affected.

That’s a massive concern, especially when you consider that Niantic have confirmed set times for when the new Legendary birds will be available.

Naintic CEO wrote on his blog about POGO Fest and revealed more information on the Legendary release. It confirmed the official schedule for some of the existing, and future Legendary Raids being provided.

Lugai and Aticuni were unlocked based on the efforts Saturday at Pokemon Go Fest. In the weeks ahead, they will be joined by Moltres and Zapdos.

  • Articuno (Team Mystic) released on Saturday, July 22 and available through Monday, July 31.
  • Moltres (Team Valor) to be released on Monday, July 31 and available through Monday, August 7.
  • Zapdos (Team Instinct) to be released on Monday, August 7 and available through Monday, August 14.

We are hopeful this latest glitch will be patched soon to avoid it happening to any further raid encounters.

On other side of the news, base capture for the new Pokemon added to the game have been revealed from the recent report that have been data-mined.

According to the information in these reports, the base Capture Rate is set at just 3% for Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, with Lugia even lower with 2%.

The chances of capture can be boosted in a number of ways, including using a Golden Razz Berry and performing a special throw.

With an excellent throw and a golden berry, players can up their chances of catching one of the Legendary birds to 23.59%.

Lugia is actually much tougher, under the same circumstances the same combo will boost your capture rate to just 15.73%.
