Niantic Confirms All New Cooperative Gameplay Experiences Coming This Spring

We have hearing a lot about new features like Gym battle mechanic changes, that might be coming to the Pokemon Go soon and how Pokemon Go still have 65 million monthly active players. Now we have more exiting news to share with you.

Firstly, some rumors in the online Pokemon development community claiming that Gym raid messages have appeared in the network traffic. We have already informed about that in our previous article.

Secondly, Niantic just officially confirmed that “all new cooperative social gameplay experiences” are coming to the game this Spring!

In their official blog post titled Thank you…, Niantic expressed their gratefulness to the player base and announced they won the prestigious BAFTA “Best Mobile and Handheld Game” award.

There have been more clarification about that directly from Niantic:

” We continue to be inspired by the passion of the 65+ million people from around the world playing Pokémon GO each month. We’re still at the beginning of the journey and there’s a lot more to come. With spring arriving in the northern hemisphere, players can look forward to all new cooperative social gameplay experiences in Pokémon GO that will give Trainers new and exciting reasons to get back into the sunshine. ”

Although a lot of this is still unclear and mysterious, it is now official that we’re in for a wild ride.

As far as Gym raids go, we have no confirmation to share at this moment, however, Niantic did officially confirmed that new game modes and experiences are coming. Will these “cooperative social gameplay experiences” include Gym raids or not, remains to be seen.
